First released in 2014, the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 has been around long enough to know itself. We like that in a shoe. And in the people, we keep around. Now, the familiar runner returns in a colourway by NAKED Copenhagen.
Think September,
when everyone’s back in the city and “let’s sit outside” still feels like a reasonable suggestion. Soft pink, brown, and red accents. Sunset looks good on her.
The palette draws inspiration from the Nordic sky just before nightfall, as the warmth of the day starts to disappear, the air gets cooler and the sky suddenly becomes the main event.
It’s the season for office days turning into evening plans, and quick catchups becoming full debriefs. For showing up for your friends, even if you’re still sending “leaving now” texts from your bedroom.
At least the shoes are sorted.
It’s about the small moments of movement too, from moving through city streets to the hours spent between plans. Originally a runner, now the pair you put on before you’ve figured out the rest of the outfit.
Some things just earn their place in the rotation.
